Practical Details

My practice is private pay. I see clients in person in the Del Ray section of Alexandria, Virginia, and virtually across Virginia, Maryland, DC, New York, Illinois, and Massachusetts. I am currently accepting new adult clients on a waitlist.

Insurance

I do not bill insurance directly and am not in network with any insurance company. Upon request, I provide a superbill, a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance carrier for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

Whether you are reimbursed and how much vary considerably by plan. Some plans reimburse meaningfully for out-of-network mental health services. Many do not. Before assuming your insurance will cover any portion of our work together, I strongly recommend calling your carrier directly to ask specifically about your out-of-network mental health benefits, deductible, and reimbursement rate for psychotherapy. Your insurance carrier may request a CPT code. The code used for 45 minute sessions is 90834 and the code for 60 minute sessions is 90837.
